2023 was an exciting year for our club, especially with our MPC Official Court Opening at Cornell Community Park. We are so proud to have delivered value for our members through numerous events and activities. Below is an archive of those events and links to photo galleries.

MPC Halloween Social was held Saturday, October 28th and what a memorable event it was!
Our incredible social event volunteers and members, plus the beautiful sunny weather, amazing costumes, great, food, treats, games, award presentations and yes, even the wind, made the social super interesting and fun! Thank you to everyone that made this event, this season and our club community as special as it is. For photos and videos of this Fun event, check out this link HERE.
As part of the festivities, we held award presentations. Congratulation to our Winners!!
Peter Milovanovic (current MPC club President) and Chuck Mitchell, original MPC founders and true VIP Picklers were awarded our Lifetime Membership Award for their contributions to the development and advancement of Pickleball in Markham.
Ladder Players with the best win/loss ratio. In session 1, Calvin Leung finished with an astonishing win/loss ratio of 89% and Paul Wu finished with 83%. In session 2, Harshit Gupta, Imran Gulam and Ryan Kwok tied for first at 83%.
Rookies of the Year awarded to Ryan Kwok and Juliana Sin.

MPC Fun Charity Fundraiser event Sept 16 -17, 2023
When the Pickleball Canada sanctioned tournament in support of Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital was cancelled, MPC decided in less than a week to run a Fun Tourney for the charity and what a smashing success it was!!

Our inaugural Markham Pickleball Club (MPC) Championships were held on August 26th and 27th and what a fun time it was.
This was a skill event in men's doubles, women's doubles and mixed doubles with gold medal winners of the open events earning their names on three beautiful permanent trophies. Trophies were awarded to the gold, silver and bronze winners in the 10 event categories. Check out some photos of our winners HERE.
