Check in will open at 8am. Groups 1-6 will play at 1:30 sharp. There are a couple of teams where only one of the partners has registered so the other partner will not get this email. Please forward. Please advise us via email to cfo@markhampickleballclub.ca ASAP if you are unable to make your session as we will have to find a sub for you. Hopefully, we will would not have any changes but if so, we will send out an email.

There are 6 teams in each group and there are 12 groups. In the preliminary round, individual teams from Groups 1, 2 and 3 will be allocated to a round robin pool of three teams. In total, there will six round robin pools formed from Groups 1, 2 and 3. This pattern repeats for the remaining 9 groups (4, 5 and 6; 7,8 and 9; 10, 11 and 12). Based on the results, the teams be sorted into 12 divisions with an A & B pool. Next, the elimination round will start with a semi-final match the winner from pool A plays the 2nd place from pool B and winner from pool B plays the 2nd place of pool A, in each of the 12 divisions. Finally, the medal round between the winners for Gold/Silver and the runners-up for Bronze.

Matches are rally scored. First team to 21. At 20 points, the team must be on their serve to win the match. Players must decide whether they want to play the left service box or right service box for the entire game. At 11 points, teams will switch ends and may choose to reposition players from the left to the right service boxes.

Tie breakers if required are: 1. Head-to-head 2. Total wins 3. Point ratio
