    • Update

STPC has initiated a pilot project to introduce pickleball into the Elementary School PE curriculum in St. Thomas. Both TVDSB and LDCSB schools are involved in the project. The Club has purchased 4 nets and has had 8 paddles donated by Selkirk and 16 paddles donated by Paddletek. Two schools at a time will be provided with 2 nets, 8 paddles and balls for a 6-7 week period. At the end of that period the equipment will be passed on to two other schools for their use. We have been advised by one of the initial schools that they would like to have additional paddles for the students to use. We are asking that if you have an old paddle at home that you are no longer using that you consider donating it or loaning it for use in the elementary school project. Used paddles can be brought to Club play and given to either Jan or Vicki. Thanks in advance for your assistance.

    • Donation

On February 13, 2023 a donation of $500.00 was presented to Mr. Dave Fox, the representative of the Friends of St. Joseph's High School. STPC is fortunate to have use of St. Joe's gym for our winter season and are honoured to contribute to the endeavors of Friends of St. Joe's. Friends of St. joseph's supports many projects for the school and students, which, in turn betters our community. Projects like the score clock in the gym, equipment for the arts and scholarships for graduates.
It is great that the STPC can help to support their goals, the donation was graciously accepted.
      Well done STPC!
