Tournament format:

· 42 Entries per level.

· Round Robin with 6-15 minute games.

· Games to 11, win by 1 point.

· 2-3 minutes between games to change courts and hand-in scorecards.

· Total points to be tallied per individual to determine tournament winners.

· All games to begin at the same time when the time-keeper announces “start”. If you don’t get to your court promptly, you will lose valuable score-generating time. We will be sticking to a strict start/end schedule.

· When the time-keeper announces “stop”, players are to complete any rallies underway. No serving a new rally after the “stop” signal.

· If you finish the game prior to the “stop” signal, you are welcome to start a new game but the points from the second game will not be counted. Please do NOT leave your court if you have to interrupt other games, until the “stop” signal.

· At the end of each game, enter the score on the score card provided and have one person from the winning team hand the scorecard to the score keeper. If you don’t hand in the scorecard immediately after each game, scores will be entered as zero for both sides. Maximum of 11 points per game.

· There might be 2 byes for each level, so that we can continue the tournament without interruption if there are no-shows on the day of the tournament. We hope to have a full complement of 40-42 players in each category. For the players who have a bye, their 5 scores will be averaged and added to their total for a total of 6 scores per person. Player numbering will be alphabetical (not including last minute substitutions); thus byes will be generated randomly.

· Maximum individual score is 66 points.

· Prizes will be awarded for 1st place and 2nd place in each category.

OTHER NOTES:

· Sign-up to be opened on May 16th, 6:45 pm (2 weeks prior to the tournament) with a waitlist.

· Sign-up changes to be cutoff on May 28th at 12:00 noon (2 days prior to the tournament) so that tournament final preparations and round robins can be set up.

Emergency cancellations on May 28 or 29, send email to social@edmontonpickleballclub.org

· If you have an emergency the day of the tournament and cannot attend, please text 780-885-0248. NO-SHOWS will be recorded according to the club’s No-Show Policy.
